"What happened in Florida was a heartbreaking act of terrorism and hate against our country and the LGBTQ community. All of America stands united with Orlando and with our LGBTQ friends and neighbors. I want Ohio's own LGBTQ community to know we stand with you in this dark hour, and I look forward to marching with you in solidarity next Saturday during the Columbus Pride Parade. We will know more in the days and weeks ahead, but what we know now is that we must stand united and redouble our commitment to keeping Americans safe and defeating terrorism wherever and in whatever form it takes."
